Our history dates back to the early sixties when Kent and Jerry Kelton started Kelton Brothers in Lascassas, TN when they were just in their teens. Back then, they sold Purina Feed, gasoline, and other general items for folks living in the area. Wanting to pursue their dreams in another careers, they eventually sold the business to Buddy Pearcy in the late sixties in the same location Mr. Pearcy still operates to this day.

After a brief stint in other ventures, Kent and Jerry came together again in 1973 to form a new feed store in Murfreesboro known as Murfreesboro Feed and Seed. This business was located on West Burton Street close to the intersection of Broad and Memorial. Main products that were sold, such as cattle, hog, and bulk dairy feed, were used on local farms. As the Murfreesboro and surrounding areas population began to grow in the 80's and 90's, so did the store with the addition of lawn mowers and power equipment.

In 2007, we moved to a brand new location and changed the name to Kelton's. At the same time we expanded our retail lines to include additional pet foods and supplies, equine or horse supplies, and wild bird products. Jerry's son, Jason, has taken over the day-to-day operations at the store with Jerry mainly concentrating on the power equipment side. In addition to lawn mower and power equipment sales, we also offer parts and repair services to help keep your equipment well maintained.
